We use the information we have, to enhance your experience whilst using our app. We use the connections you’ve made and interests you’ve listed to personalise your experience through information shown on your home page.

We use the information we have to develop, test and improve our product and features.

We use the information we have to verify accounts and activity, combat harmful conduct, detect and prevent bad experiences and maintain the integrity of our app.

We use the information that we have to send you marketing communications, communicate with you about our product and advise about terms and policies. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us.

Your information is shared with others who sign up to use Favours by allowing all users to view your profile page and the content you load onto it.

Other users who sign up to Favours are able to see reviews left on your page by people who have received time from you.

Other users who sign up to Favours may see reviews of your work via their home page if you are in the same location.

When you use the message function to communicate, those people can see the content you have sent.

We don’t sell any of your information to anyone and never will.

Our legal basis for collecting, using and sharing the data in the ways described above is to fulfil our terms of service, to comply with legal obligations, protect yours and others vital interests, to provide an innovative, personalised and safe service. You can revoke your consent at any time but please note that terms and conditions must be accepted to continue using our app.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access, request and delete your data. You also have the right to object to processing of data for marketing using the ‘unsubscribe’ link is such marketing communications.

We store data until it is no longer necessary to provide our service or until your account is deleted – whichever comes first. This is a case by case determination that depends on the nature of the data, why it is collected and processed and the relevant legal or operational retention needs. Providing the data does not need to be investigated our retention period for deleted accounts is 90 days.

We store data for accounts deactivated for an unlimited time in the case of you wishing to reactivate your account.

We retain information from accounts for term breaches for at least a year to prevent repeat abuse or other term breaches.

User agreement

When you use our service, you agree to all the terms and conditions.

You agree that by signing up/registering, you are agreeing to enter a legally binding contract with Favours, that you have read and understood our terms and conditions and that you also abide by our policies. If you wish to terminate this contract at any time, you can do so by deleting your account and no long accessing or using our app.

You enter into this contract and accept that Favours will be the controller of your personal data provided to, or collected by or for, or processed in connection with our service. As a member of our service, the collection, use and sharing of your personal data is subject to the terms & conditions policy.

We may make changes to this contract and terms & conditions from time to time. If we make changes, we will provide you notice through our service, or by other means, to provide you the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. If you object to the changes you may delete your account. Your continued use of our service after we publish a notice about our changes means you are consenting to the updated terms.

To use the services, you agree that you are 16 years or older. The information you provide must be truthful and accurate. Creating an account with false information is a violation of our terms, including accounts registered on behalf of others or persons under the age of 16. You agree to keep your password a secret and will not share an account with anyone else and will follow our rules and the law.

You agree that you are okay with us providing notices and messages to you through our app, website and contact information that you have provided us. You agree to keep your contact information up to date.

You agree that when you share information on our app, others can see, copy and use that information. For example, messages sent to individuals, information on your profile page etc.

You own all the content, feedback and personal information you provide to us, but you also grant us non-exclusive licence to it.

You agree that we may access, store, process and use any information and personal data that you provide in accordance with our terms & conditions.

You promise to only provide content or information that does not violate the law nor anyone else’s rights (including intellectual property rights). Favours may be required by law to remove certain information or content in certain countries.

We may change, suspend or end our service. We don’t promise to store or keep showing any information and content that you’ve provided should this be the case.

You may encounter content or information that may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, misleading, illegal, offensive or otherwise harmful. Favours does not review content provided by users signed up. You agree that we are not responsible for others content or information and we cannot always prevent misuse of our service.

We have the right to limit the use of our service, suspend or terminate your account if we think you are in breach of this contract or of the law.

You agree that if any business/commercial standings become involved, you will take all communications and activity away from this app and declare all relevant items as per your current employment status.
